Q. Has the City prioritized the disconnect studies to justify the 2001 decision?

A.40. A study of the effectiveness of the Footing Drain Disconnection program in reducing basement backups during wet weather has been in the City’s Capital Improvement Program for several years. With the FDD program in place for ten years and City Council’s partial suspension of the program, requesting further study, the City’s Project Management team undertook the Sanitary Sewer Wet Weather Evaluation Study in 2013.
