We want to make sure that what appears to be a footing
drain success story also includes mention of what else could be causing those
reductions.
A. Variations from different rainfall amounts,
rainfall patterns and antecedent moisture conditions can “mask” the underlying
changes in flows due to FDD. A scientific “control” for these items was done with the FDD flow evaluation using three independent techniques that
include scatter plots, meter correlations to a control, and continuous
hydrologic modeling. Results were presented at the December 12, 2013 CAC meeting.
