Q. What is the expected growth in capacity usage (as well as growth in usage since the initial studies in 2000)?

A. In 2025, we expect about 27% more flow on average between today’s average flow and the forecasted flow.

As a followup to this, I believe Robert had a SEMCOG report projecting approximately 10 per cent population growth over some long time period, like 30 years. How does this reconcile with a projected 27 per cent increase in flow in 11 years?
Also, when Murat does the hydraulic analyses, what formula or assumptions are used to define growth?
Lori, it seems that you may be the only one who sees this. Can you subscribe this to everyone or at least the city and OHM folks? I plan to ask about this Thursday when discussing the analyses.
Thanks
Joe

I edited the original message to notify Robert & Murat (OHM), Nick (City), Charlie and the entire CAC.

Here's an article about a 2012 SEMCOG (Southeast Michigan Council of Governments) revising its population and employment forecast for the Ann Arbor area for 2040.

And here's a link directly to the forecast information on SEMCOG's website:

thanks. that's quick! The county breakdown shows 4 per cent population growth for Washtenaw County between 2010 and 2025, and 12 per cent growth by 2040.
