[CITY] Q. FDD installations disturb the aged waterproofing
on the exterior of the foundations. Has the City quantified the cost impact for
owners with FDDs?
A. The disconnection of the footing drains from the
sanitary sewer does not typically disturb the waterproofing on the exterior of
the foundation, as the sump discharge pipe comes out of the house above the
level of the exterior waterproofing. If
there is damage to the waterproofing, it will be restored at no additional
cost.
