We are about half way through our project and it is time to affirm our behavioral norms - how we agree to treat each other, including consultants and City staff.  Below are a list of sample norms.  Please review - add/edit/delete as you see fit, then I will consider your changes and compile a final list for your approval on the 13th.   The norms will be maintained as follows: repeat violations get a formal notification from me, more violations will bring a request to leave the meeting and/or BaseCamp until there is an agreement to adhere to the norms, the third violation will bring a request to exit the CAC.  Here are some typical norms for your consideration:

1.  Treat each other with dignity and respect.

2.  Listen first to understand, and don't be dismissive of input received when we listen.

3.  Support each other - don't throw each other under the bus to external parties.

4.  Avoid territoriality - try to think about what's good for your neighbors and the entire City.

5.  Come prepared to the meetings ... showing value and respect for the time and convenience of others.

6.  It's okay to be the messenger with bad news ... we will greet it with a problem solving approach.

7.  The discussion of issues, ideas, and direction will not bring about a personal attack and return to haunt someone in the future.

8.  Project team members (consultants/City staff) will be accountable and responsible to the CAC.
