City of Ann Arbor SSWWEP - Citizens Advisory Committee Coordination — City of Ann Arbor

Invitation

I would like to propose a meet-up.  I am interested in a face-to-face discussion with a handful of people (5) at a time to get a more solid sense.  Lunch?  Dinner?  I say a handful because this is a hot topic, with strong personalities.  I would like us to be able to manage our own "flow" of conversation.  Any takers?  Charlie is this ok to request given the fact that it won't be "posted" or printed?

I'd be interested, especially after we have some costing information.

Joe Conen on 14 Feb, 2014:

I would be happy to meet. I have a pretty flexible schedule, so propose something and I will try to make it work.

Judy Hanway on 14 Feb, 2014:

I would also be interested in meeting. Most of my free time is in the morning up to about noon. Thank you for suggesting this.

Charlie Fleetham on 14 Feb, 2014:

Hi Michelle -  I like the idea ... as far as posting ... committees frequently gather together without the consultants and/or administrators to discuss their current situation.  Have at it!

Michelle Lovasz on 14 Feb, 2014:

consultants and administrators welcome also.  Morning times work best for me, Joe?  Jim?

Joe Conen on 15 Feb, 2014:

I am generally open most mornings.

Michelle Lovasz on 15 Feb, 2014:

Jim are you interested before we have costing information?  Joe, Judy, Jim, Michelle (and any others) Monday President's Day?  9 am?  I am open to place.

Peter Houk on 15 Feb, 2014:

This is a great idea.  I'm busy this next week (winter break for the kids) but I would like to meet up the following week.

FDD is a unpleasant topic.  And so far this process is not always fun.  But in the midst of all that, I have met several good people who surely I otherwise would not have.  I'm looking forward to sharing a coffee or a pint with them!  So there's a bright side here after all.

Judy Hanway on 15 Feb, 2014:

I have a Tech Briefing with Robert on Monday so can't make it this time.

Joe Conen on 15 Feb, 2014:

I am available, but sounds like we won't have a critical mass. Let me know if you still want to meet Monday or try later.
Joe

Michelle Lovasz on 15 Feb, 2014:

Monday Tuesday or Wednesday am this week are all good for me - but no pints in the morning for me, Peter.  Judy I was thinking of going to that tech, is afterward free?  If not, how are Tuesday or Wednesday?

Also, we could do another one next week.

Judy Hanway on 16 Feb, 2014:

The Tech meeting on Monday (at Panera on Eisenhower) is supposed to end at 10. I'm free until 11:00 (then need to head home). If we meet at Panera, that would give us an hour. Tuesday morning is possible/Wednesday is not.

Joe Conen on 16 Feb, 2014:

I can make those times.

Patricia Marten on 16 Feb, 2014:

I am also going to the tech meeting, could stay over until 11:00, on Mon.

Frank Burdick on 17 Feb, 2014:

I am happy to attend a meeting for one hour, on a weeknight, or a during the day on a weekend.

I will attend and even wear a gag.  I will observe and only speak when spoken to or if a question is asked of me.  (Those of you who attended the Technical Meeting at City Hall on 12 Feb, know that I stated up front that I did not want to dominate that meeting.  That meeting went well and everyone had a chance to contribute.)

I think it is good that we meet.  If you recall, I tried to establish an email distibutiion list for just the volunteers, many months ago when there were many more citizens on the cac list. That request was returned with mixed responses and ultimately, we all enlisted in bootcamp..basecamp.

Michelle Lovasz on 17 Feb, 2014:

Okay I hope to see Joe, Patricia, Judy and Frank at Panera's today.  I might be late for the technical gathering.

Michelle Lovasz on 17 Feb, 2014:

Thanks everybody, for staying for the brainstorming and meeting of the minds and concerns.  Thanks to Robert for staying and participating.  Robert made several lists, brainstormed with us through some things that seemed feasible and then seemed not, and through other ideas that seemed ridiculous but then began to seem feasible.  I would be up for another one.
