Community Values Webinar Canceled

Upon reflection and feedback from CAC members, we have decided to cancel the webinar on community values.  Prior to next week's CAC meeting, I will develop a revision 2.0 of community values based on your forced ranking submittals.  This will be furnished to you before Thursday.  We will also modify the agenda to add time for extended discussion on this topic.  We will also hold the discussion prior to the technical review to make sure we get to it fully. Thanks for your patience in this matter.

Is this topic more important than the technical review?
I am concerned that at recent meetings we have had full agendas that end up
limiting discussion and questions related to the technical presentations. I
think it is valuable when we can ask questions about the technical content.
Also, while we have not had very much time to do this, it seems that it
would be valuable to allow time for dialog among all the CAC members. We
can hear and provide clarifications of our viewpoints and concerns in a way
that is not accomplished by two or three person breakouts.

We attempted to take the community values discussion off-line to allow for more technical discussion at the meetings. However, this attempt raised concerns about CAC member participation and public participation in the values discussion. Given this feedback and our objective to involve the public as much as possible, we will hold the entire values discussion at the upcoming CAC meetings.  As to putting it before the Tech presentation, it was on the agenda during the last two meetings and we didn't discuss due to lack of time.  Given our timeline for the final report, we need to nail down the values in order to fully evaluate alternatives.  In any event, that is how I see things now.  What do other CAC members think?

The tech details represent new information to most of us. It seems to me more important to "nail down" the tech details to fully evaluate the alternatives. If these are not well grasped, we risk making uninformed judgements about the alternatives. However, regarding the values, it seems these can take care of themselves. Each CAC member already has a grasp on their sense of priorities and values.

The technical details at this upcoming meeting seem to me to be very important to our understanding of how the sanitary sewer system works. I would like there to be sufficient time for a presentation with ample time allowed for questions and discussion. I agree with Joe that it is valuable to have "dialog among all the CAC members". Less important, to me, is time spent on a ranking of community values.

I agree with Judy and Joe.  Let's hear about the tech info, we've been waiting for.  I think we agree on the general ideas in the Comm Values and can tweak them later.

I agree with Judy and Joe. I want plenty of time to go over the hydraulic
information that Murat presents. I don’t think we would profit much by
spending more time on community values.
