city council meeting- water treatment plan analysis- how up to date is it?

Water Treatment Plant analysis

The council is being asked to approve a $220,339 contract with engineering firm Black and Veatch to evaluate the need and feasibility for addressing challenges facing the city's Water Treatment Plant, including replacement of treatment basins.

Other items to be addressed include, but are not limited to, source capacity and quality during extended periods of drought, variations in water quality, and planning for compliance with future regulations. The scope of work also includes evaluating and providing recommendations on the plant's solids handling and disposal options.

Pat – I believe this is the drinking water plant.

Yes, this is for the water plant - the location where our drinking water is treated and prepared for distributation.  This is not related to the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
