Went to a City Wide SW Calibration SWAG study update May 20, '14 and was told that CDM did a worst case FDD flow study modeling and found that the SW pipes would at most be filled 4% with FDD flows. They said it seems to show the FDD would not cause overloading issues with the SW system. Jay Zawacki for CDM did the modeling and presentation.

They did not discuss modeling to show effects if/when the SW pips are full. Something we can discuss with them.

CDM is doing the FDD program for the city.

As I have said many times SW flows need to be addressed in Lawton area ASAP. For example it would have been great to have MDOT do something to I94 when they worked on it last summer, like porous roadway with no runoff and very low noise at the same cost as conventional road construction. The ACWG has discussed this with MDOT. Jackson Rd. work just starting should also have porous as we discussed with MDOT in our SW over taxed neighborhood. Ann Arbor now has a Green Streets policy.

Additionally the SWAG will do analysis to determine if new floodplain analysis and mapping for the city will be worthwhile for the city to contract out as a next step. The ACWG has said the Allen's Creek is long overdue for a meaningful floodplain study.
