I have some comments on the draft of the minutes from the June 18 meeting:

1. I will try to attend the subcommittee meetings on FDD mitigation.

2. On page 7 of the Draft—the Q that begins ” Are these homeowner situations too different or are there common themes…” The answer printed is incomplete (not a full sentence). Also, I heard Greg say (more than once) that every house in unique. 

3. In the section on the Survey results—citing the “70% of respondents satisfied with the sump installation” is misleading, I think. We discussed this when the survey results were first revealed. The question (and thus the answer) is vague as we’re not certain if the respondent meant they were happy with the work done by the contractor, or if they were happy to get a sump. I think a clarification is needed here.

Page 4 of the draft does not have the answer to the Chatham subdivision questions.

My notes on Gregg's comments show there are 550 homes in the Chatham subdivision, all 550 home were monitored. Only 75 homes in the subdivision needed to be disconnected to solve the Wet Weather flow problem.

COMMENT- Ann Arbor has disconnected most homes in targeted areas and is able to show peak flow reduction in the targeted areas. Since Ann Arbor does not meter every house in a targeted area the city is unable to demonstrate that any one house in a targeted area contributes to the peak flow. Cost to monitor $400. Cost to disconnect $10,000. Would it be wise to monitor every home prior to a disconnect to see if the individual home contributes to the wet weather peak flow?

What does this mean to the DOM program?  If a developer is required to disconnect a certain number of homes are these homes monitored prior to disconnection to confirm that the particular home contributes to the wet weather flow?
